Possibility of bare-root seedling application for tropical forest and landscape restoration: A study on <i>Gmelina arborea</i> and <i>Calophyllum inophyllum</i>

Container and bare-root seedlings are the two basic stock types used in reforestation programs many countries, but tropics, have never been widely applied. The objective of this research was to assess possibility for tropical forest landscape restoration treated by fertilization nursery aquasorb treatment using tree species, i.e., Calophyllum inophyllum Gmelina arborea . A randomized block design seedling performance application on container (polybag) as a comparison. This indicated that NPK able increase growth C. G. arborea. In field test, polybag had better survival than seedlings. best both species were shown with treatment. also increased species. Bare-root calophyllum resulted higher is more prospective be applied tropics.
